I am excited to announce that we will begin studying the Gospel of Mark based on materials by Francis Chan this Sunday at 11:00 AM. It is an 11-week RightNow Media study that incorporates a 8-10 minutes videos each week. We will begin on April 26 and conclude on July 12. To register go to https://fumcoviedo.com/learning/ and fill out the form at the bottom of the page. The group schedule is below. There is no book or study material. Participants are asked to read the designated passages from Mark during the week prior to our Zoom meeting and be prepared to discuss in session. If you do not have a webcam, no worries. You can also call into the sessions.

Main Idea: Because of his unique power as creator, Jesus renews and restores what sin and darkness broke.

Main Idea: To be a true disciple of Jesus, we must lay aside everything we possess and all that we are to sacrificially serve like Jesus did.

Scripture: Mark 11:1–13:37
Main Idea: The world’s view of power differs drastically from Jesus’s example of the king coming to sacrifice and serve.
June 28
Scripture: Mark 14:1–15:47
Main Idea: Despite being abandoned, Jesus accomplished his mission on the cross, laying a victorious foundation for our eternal hope.
July 5
No group meeting on Fourth of July weekend.
July 12
Scripture: Mark 15:40–16:8
Main Idea: Because we are convinced that Jesus is the Son of God and long-awaited savior, our lives should reflect our faith in daily obedience and faithfulness to him.
